Let
me paint a picture ---
---You have been sick for years.
You have pain in all your muscles.
You have no energy. You get headaches.
You are often nauseous.
You get odd temperature fluctuations and your heart races alarmingly
for no apparent reason. You can't remember the last time you slept
well.
You know you're depressed but you're not sure anymore if it's another
symptom or because you HAVE all these symptoms. You weren't depressed
in the beginning. Back then you thought all you had to do was go
to the Doctor and they would sort you out.
At this stage you've seen so many Doctors and specialists and therapists
and quacks that you've become numb. And all you've got to show for
it is a very expensive collection of diagnosis.
First it was glandular fever. Then it was chronic fatigue syndrome.
Then it was fibromyalgia and now it's polymyalgia. Each new diagnosis
gave you a surge of energy, it legitimised what was happening for
you in some way. Finally diagnosis lost its appeal as you realised
that just because they could give it a name didn't mean they could
cure it.
You don't take medication any more because you don't trust it.
You've had one too many side effects. Your GP, who has been with
you through it all, has eventually told you that you'll just have
to live with it.
'You'll just have to live with
it.'
This doesn't feel like living anymore. It feels like a nightmare.
All your life you never gave your health a second thought.
Now it's all you think about.
Why is this happening to me?
You feel ill-equipped and powerless to help yourself and the people
who have made it their life's work to become expert in helping you
have come up blank. ---
---That's a pretty bleak picture I know but it's one I've seen
many times.
If parts, or all of it, sound familiar, you are not alone. There
are millions of people having to ‘live with it.’
Let me give you some hope.
You don't have to live with it. You are not powerless.
There is a lot you can do to change your situation. That's what
this book is all about. . . . .
Why I know what I'm talking
about . .
Before I go any further let me tell you about myself so you can put
what I'm saying in context.
I've been a Cranio Sacral Therapist
for the last 15 years.
I have treated over 1000 people.
My success rate averages 85-90 %. Meaning 85-90% of the people who
come to see me get the result they were looking for. You can read
patient testimonials here.
I developed the only Australian Government accredited diploma of
cranio sacral therapy.
I was a founder of The Australian Institute of Cranio Sacral Therapy.
I lecture internationally on cranio sacral therapy.
I run the Open
Source Cranio project which brings cranio sacral therapy training
free to developing countries.
My interest in why we get sick and why we get better, started by
accident. My brother Derek’s accident to be exact. He was hit by
a car in 1988 and ended up in a coma. Derek had a severe head injury
and the admitting doctors told my Mother he wouldn’t make it through
the night. That was to become a signature of Derek’s story. The
doctors would state that he would never be able to do a certain
thing and then Derek would prove them wrong by doing it.
'He won’t live another
day.’
Then the next day when Derek was still alive,
‘He won’t make it to the
end of the week.’
Then the next week when he was still alive,
‘He won’t see the month
out.’
Then the next month, still alive,
‘He will never regain consciousness.’
‘He will never walk again.’
Derek did them all and more.
He awoke from his coma after 3 months and began the long and painful
process of rehabilitation. He is now married with three beautiful
children.
Watching him recover I learned first hand that our bodies are capable
of a lot more than we ‘know’. It has been an excellent reference
for me in my work as a therapist.
When Derek was in the coma I remember how powerless I felt to help
him. I've seen this feeling of helplessness time and again in the
people I have treated.
‘Why am I sick?’
‘Why is this happening to me?’
In my practice I found myself spending more and more time helping
patients explore these questions. I began to see trends in the answers
they were getting.
Over the years I have had hundreds of these conversations with
patients, as we've explored why they were sick and the reasons they
weren't getting better.
I have distilled these conversations into my book. Why Do
We Get Sick? Why Do We Get Better? A Wellness Detective Manual
Which is like the debriefing we should get when we leave the hospital
or Doctor’s office. The, ‘How to figure out what your illness meant
and spot the warning signs early.’ briefing.
No

The Big Sell.
I have seen the material in my book help many people. If you have
read this far I am going to assume you are seriously looking for
answers. I am passionate about helping you get some relief so I
am going to unashamedly sell you on my book because I strongly believe
it will help.
Let me ask you this:--- What if the perspectives in this book gave
you only a 5% understanding of why you are sick? What would that
be worth to you?
Now ask yourself: What if there is even a chance
that this book can help you understand why you are sick and you
could use this understanding to help yourself get better? A chance
of a 5%, 10%, 50% improvement . . . .
How much would that be worth to you?
For most of the people I have treated, it was priceless.
Just the POSSIBILITY of getting some kind of an answer to the,
'Why me?' question would be worth it. I have spent fifteen
years looking very closely at the question of why we get sick and
how we get better.
Are you going to spend the rest of your life feeling helpless?
Disempowered? Worried sick about your future?
Get a copy of my book NOW and you will be giving yourself that
chance of changing your situation for the better.
May you find the answers you are looking for.
Wishing you all the best,
